Romance Contemporary | Romance Anthology
This month marks the Silver Anniversary of Harlequin's
Superromance line. To honor the event a special three story
anthology is included as one of the six monthly titles.
CELEBRATES 25 YEARS has stories from authors Tara Taylor
Quinn, Margot Early and Janice MacDonald respectively
encompassing friendship, love and family bonds.
In the first, Best Friends, Jolene and Tina meet at a
mountain cabin their families have summered at for over 25
years to focus on the breakdown of Jolene's marriage due to
her inability to conceive. The second, Wade in the Water, Lily comes back to her
family's Minnesota lake-home to take part in scattering the
ashes of her younger brother. It is especially painful for
her because she still blames herself for his death that
occurred 16 years earlier. The third story, A Visit from Eileen, has Eileen
returning to the small Irish village and fiancé she left
behind 25 years ago. Unfortunately, she has embellished her
success and winds up having to face the music. All three focus on the trademarks of the Superromance line;
good stories with strong characters dealing with topical
issues important to women.
SUMMARY
A lot can happen, a lot can change, in 25 years Best Friends by Tara Taylor Quinn Jolene and Tina have been best friends for twenty-five
years. Too bad Jolene's marriage isn't as solid as her
friendship. But who better to talk to about your most
intimate problems than your very best friend? Wade in the Water by Margot Early Lily Moran is observing a tragic anniversary — her
brother's
death. She blames herself, just as her parents blame her
then-boyfriend, Colin Gardner. For the first time, she's
returning home to scatter the ashes of the past and — maybe
— find love and peace in the present. With her family...and
with Colin. A Visit from Eileen by Janice Macdonald Eileen Doyle left Ireland twenty-five years ago to start a
new life in California. But nothing turned out as she
expected, so she reinvented herself in letters home. Now
Eileen has to return to face the truth — and the man who
broke her heart. Three new stories to celebrate our twenty-fifth
anniversary.
