I grew up in a small town, so love to read a story which takes place in a small town. Small towns are special because you see more familiar faces and have many friends, along with life being more relaxed, and you don't have snobby neighbors.

I grew up in a small town. I can relate to topics about small town's. People would always tell me, I was a hick from the sticks. Til this day I still am proud of where I was raised. People always try to help each other out and seem to have warm loving hearts. I wouldn't change a thing about small town living. It was fantastic.

Pick me love to read this book-I live in a small town in fla. but always loved going sown to Bevier ever summer to visit my cousins and made good friends,I made so many good memories and everyone knew everyone and whenever we all came down to see my grandparents who livesd on number 8, everyone would stop in for homemade ice cream and cake...each year we'd go down for homecoming, one big family reunion, we wouldn't win the biggest family but it was all in fun...my grandfather did win being the oldest and all his friends would laugh and tease him! Here in Crawfordville, my kids have made good friends and alot of good memories, so have I but not like theirs...my best friend isn't with us anymore but i do have good friends that would help me at anytime.

When stories are set in small towns, they're more intimate. You can also get closer to the main characters that way, due to the fact that there's no extra clutter in the story. I actually prefer them. Since I now live in a small town, I can see the downside, but it doesn't stop me from reading about them!! I'm looking forward to reading your book, and comparing Shamrock Falls to the town that I live in. I'm sure it will be a great book to start of my Fall with!! Congratulations on your book!!

I've read that in small towns, newcomers often think everyone is so friendly. They don't realise that the longtimers there are so bored by the same faces and stories that they are desperate for new company and a new source of gossip!

Small towns offer a setting whereby neighbors know one another and each other's business. I like the camaraderie and the ease most smalls have that's lacking in bigger towns.
