I can't recall ever reading a book that was considered a friends-to-lovers book. Yours would be the first, and I would really love to read your book. As far as my life goes, I've had the chance, over the years, to take someone that was a friend to the next level. In my eyes, there had to be more than just a friendly attraction there for me to act on it. I had to really have that "animal magnetism," for lack of a better term, in play, along with the friendship, in order to take it to the next level. Just having a person for a friend, doesn't mean that I wanted to take things to the next level. In fact, one of my friends wanted to take things to a romantic level, and I just couldn't do it. I loved him as a friend, but after everything that we went through, I just couldn't see myself romantically involved with him. I knew his family, and he would have been a wonderful Husband, but there was no "spark" in that department.

I do like that theme but can't think of a favorite book title
for it. I think that some of the strongest marriages I have
seen are friends to lovers, they already know all of the
great and not so great but love and are attracted to each
other anyway.

I love friends to lovers stories. I recently read NO STRINGS ATTACHED by Nicolette Day and really enjoyed it.

I met my hubby at work and though we were friendly, we were more co-workers than friends at first.

I just finished reading one and yes I do like them. It
gives the conflict and tension more depth. Some of them are
good and some are not. If there is not spark then it is not
worth the effort. Too much conflict just does not do it for
me either. There has to be a happy balance.
I think your book sounds very good so far. I can't wait to

Deb, yes! It's so important that the lovers stay friends. After all, that's what
brought them together in the first place.

Can't recall a book with that theme. (Hey! I'm in my fifties! It's amazing I can remember where my car keys are!)
When I first saw the cover, I thought it was Erin Andrews and Maks from Dancing with the Stars. Oops!

I really enjoy reading friends to lovers stories. The most recent one I have read is Tawny Weber's A SEAL'S KISS. My beloved late husband of 39 years and I started out as good friends, turned into best friends, and evolved into a wonderful and warm loving relationship.
