Reality TV scout Vivvy Marsh loves her job, but she'll lose it if she doesn't find a hit. When she's sent to Kansas to scout a show, it looks like a bust...until she meets sexy pilot, Nate Harrington. His family would make the perfect show to save her career.

Nate can't deny his attraction to Vivvy, but no way can he let this show take off. The Harrington family is riddled with secrets, and she wants it all out in the open. For the next seven days, he's going to stop at nothing to keep her out of his family's business, even if it means keeping her distracted in his bedroom.

Re: Seven-Night Stand

I think romance can occur in any setting. Love knows no bounds. One of
my favorite stories was about the working life of a cartoonist. Doesn't
sound glamorous, but the author did such a great job, it's favorite!

My favourite setting vary - SF settings can be good and lots of fun. Historical settings are very interesting because they bring a period to life. In contemporary I prefer outdoorsy settings but a culture contrast with a city, like your work above, is good for reader interest.

Clare O'Beara 6:00am February 9, 2013)

So long as the setting fits the story I'm happy to travel the
world.
(
Mary Preston 6:17am February 9, 2013)

I feel romance can be in your own backyard. Romance is where you want it to be and thrown in a little history is great. Sound great.
(
Diane Castiglione 6:31am February 9, 2013)

As a city girl who married a farmer and learned to drive a tractor, I enjoy many different settings.
Blessings,
Marjorie

Sounds like a book that I look forward to reading!!!

I love foreign countries. Scotland, Ireland, England,
wherever.
(
Karin Anderson 8:13am February 9, 2013)

I love romance in any setting, the more exotic the better.
(
Wilma Frana 10:31am February 9, 2013)

I don't think the setting is that important as long as it's
real. I'm a country gal myself.
(
Mary Hay 10:43am February 9, 2013)

I like all different types of settings but I think my favorites are in the country.
(
Maureen Emmons 11:06am February 9, 2013)

I like books that are set in unusual places.
(
Sandy Giden 11:08am February 9, 2013)

I love exotic locales. They seem so adventurous.
(
Pam Howell 12:07pm February 9, 2013)

Sounds like somewhere I would like to go thank you
(
Ava Curtis 12:44pm February 9, 2013)

Romance in Italy is my choice.
(
Sharon Berger 12:48pm February 9, 2013)

Fav settings... I love books that give me a peek at other countries and locales I have never been to.
(
Colleen Conklin 1:04pm February 9, 2013)

Love can happen in any setting. In real life, falling in love in another country could be impossible due to ties and family. In books anything can be resolved.
(
Kathleen Yohanna 1:27pm February 9, 2013)

Romance and love can be found anywhere

Debra Guyette 2:04pm February 9, 2013)

I grew up in a small town, but now live in the city. I like the convenience of
the city.
(
Susan Falkler 2:25pm February 9, 2013)

I love to read books with a civil war background. Injoyed reading your blog.
(
Sheila True 2:45pm February 9, 2013)

It would be near the ocean. I have always love sunset near the ocean and the sound of the ocean is so relaxing.
(
Kai Wong 2:56pm February 9, 2013)

I do like the smaller type towns where everyone knows everyone's business!

Thanks for the chance to win!
(
Sue Galuska 4:31pm February 9, 2013)

I love small town romances. I love how every one in town knows what's
happening and tries to manipulate the outcome or at least help it along.
(
Ann Sheiring 4:31pm February 9, 2013)

I love a small town story - there are always fun supporting
characters.
(
Diane Sallans 4:36pm February 9, 2013)

Some of my favorite romance settings are in the country, a small town, vacationing on a tropical paradise island with an ocean front setting to walk along. Brings back memories from the book and movie, "The Thorn Birds", which was so intensely romantic!
(
Linda Luinstra 4:37pm February 9, 2013)

I love Paris---so romantic
(
Shirley Younger 6:11pm February 9, 2013)

hey, the excerpt was great - I can't wait to read the rest of the book! I'd like to read a book or two or three about a place like the one I'm living in now - a smallish New England city not far from Boston with a college up the hill, and people who mostly bloom where they've been planted and everyone has an opinion about the mayor, the city council, the local history and the Red Sox/Bruins/Celtics/Revolution; where the houses sometimes have moms, dads, grandmas, kids, grandkids on three floors; where there are secrets and scandals but also lots of love and really good Italian/Asian/pizza. Like my city. And then I'd find out who's really related to whom!
(
Beth Fuller 6:34pm February 9, 2013)

I love romances set in either small towns or at the ocean. Small towns are always nice because the characters usually care about each other.
(
Carol Woodruff 6:37pm February 9, 2013)

Italy is my favourite but as long as the book catches my attention it doesn't
really matter where it is set. One of my favourite books was set in New
England.
(
Liesl Lane 6:49pm February 9, 2013)

I enjoy romances set in different historical settings, especially in England or France.
(
Bonnie H 6:52pm February 9, 2013)

I enjoy all types of backrounds. Small towns have some very interesting characters. People from other countries bring in some unique perspectives. City people have attitudes as varied as the cities they hail from. I read tons so I could never pick a favorite. Thank you for the great post and for sharing your story with us. I hope you have many more characters bouncing around in your head waiting to have their stories told.
(
Patti Paonessa 8:25pm February 9, 2013)

i enjoy all romances . this sounds like it will be good
(
Debbi Shaw 9:08pm February 9, 2013)

I consider myself extremely fortunate in that my honeymoon was a 22-day trip around the world that I won in an essay contest - it was the Grand Prize. I visited San Francisco, Beijing, Bangkok, Rome, Normandy, Paris, Maastricht (Holland), and Amsterdam. As you'll note, only one city required me to specify which country it was in. Additionally, I was a military brat until the age of 21, and I spent nearly 12 years living in Europe (Germany and Holland) and I got a chance to travel to all kinds of places in Europe. This life of travel has given me a wealth of visual memories of gorgeous places and cultures to weave into my romantic dreams. Unfortunately between the ages of 21 and 39 I did no traveling at all, and I haven't really travelled too much since the honeymoon 8 years ago, so it is probably a good thing I'm able to read descriptions in a book and mentally picture myself wherever the hero and heroine are - for a short while. I love books set in locations I've never been, because I can live vicariously through the character's eyes.
(
Donna Holmberg 10:05pm February 9, 2013)

I usually prefer small towns but I have also read stories set in big cities and have enjoyed them.
(
Rita Wray 10:36pm February 9, 2013)

Since I was born in and have lived in a huge city all my life I love story settings in small towns. I did attend college in a smaller town and the people were so friendly. I loved being there.

I love stories about cowboys and ranches, also.
(
Gladys Paradowski 1:17am February 10, 2013)

NY, Calif, Hawaii or any cowboy themed town.
(
Pat Lieberman 8:03am February 10, 2013)

I am sorry, just saw it a kindle book, please take me out of the draw.
(
Pat Lieberman 8:04am February 10, 2013)

I love foreign settings in quiet places. Lots of greenery and
open fields. I like when the setting is sort of post modern.
No city lights or beeping cars. I like the carefree settings.
Makes me feel like I am actually there also.
(
Lazydrag0n Puff 4:26pm February 10, 2013)

This sounds interesting. I believe romancce can happen at any age or place in our lives.
(
Diane Castiglione 5:53pm February 11, 2013)

I do love castles, manors & wild moors. Seriously give me a
great story & I'm happy anywhere.
