A ballplayer and a team owner would give anything for a championship—even their hearts…

After inheriting majority ownership of the San Francisco Goliaths baseball team, Hunter Collins wants to prove to herself—and the rest of the league—that she’s got what it takes to build a champion. Her first move is to trade for a hot left-fielder. He’s got it all, speed, power, and a desire to win. Not to mention undeniable charm.

Marco Santiago is tired of being the new player in town. After four teams in six years, he’s facing free agency at the end of the season. He wants nothing more than a long-term contract and a World Series win. Hitting on his new owner probably isn’t the best way to get it, but love may be the most powerful challenger either of them has ever faced...

Re: Worth the Trade

When I was able to get the games on TV, I was the biggest
hockey fan!! I would watch every game on TV, and wore tee
shirts with my team on them, along with sweatshirts, when
the weather got cold. Since my Husband isn't a sports' fan,
he did manage to get tickets to a game, which I didn't see
live in years!! After the game, he still wasn't converted,
but I was overjoyed!! I was the same way with College
football, and other sports, but now where I live, I'm unable
to pick up sports at all. It's funny, but when you can't
get the games on TV (listening to them on the radio isn't
the same), you start to lose interest in it altogether.
I've been away from the games for 7 years now, and in the
beginning it was hard. If there was one on TV now at
someone's house, I would surely watch it, but I don't miss
it, and my life is so busy, that I really don't have the
time to watch the games. I can understand your love for
sports, though, and admire you for your love of your
favorite teams!!

Peggy,
Thanks for stopping by. It is hard to keep up with a team if you can't watch them. Kind of like having a relationship with someone you never see. The only sport I can follow on the radio is baseball. Football and hockey are too fast paced. And basketball has all those squeaky shoes.
