Romance Historical

A DARING EXPLORER

All of London is abuzz with the tale of Will Repton. The lone survivor of a massacre in Tibet has returned to England a hero, but the traumatized explorer has no time for glory.

Another dangerous expedition awaits.

Nothing will deter him from his quest, and no one will unearth his secret-until Will meets Charlotte Baker.

IS NO MATCH FOR AN ADVENTUROUS HEART

Vivacious Charlotte Baker also has a mission-to find a man whose bold spirit matches her own. When she meets Will Repton, she immediately recognizes him as her soul mate, and she's naively willing to turn her back on the rules of propriety to ensnare him.

Will is torn between his fascination with Charlotte and his vow to finish his quest.

He knows what it is to risk life and limb-but what if his most perilous adventure doesn't lie across an ocean, but within his own lost heart?

Re: In Search of Scandal

I'm trying to think of the exact term that would be used for my
type of hero. He's the type that doesn't clamor for attention.
He just did what was needed, and continued on with his life.
Sometimes he bears his scars, needing the soft touch of a woman,
to help him get over the horrors of what he's been through. It's
the flashy hero I can really do without. Your latest book sounds
wonderful, and I'm looking forward to reading it. I've put it on
my TBR list already. The cover is absolutely stunning, and I'm
sure it will do quite well!! I hope you have a very Merry
Christmas, and wish you all the best in the upcoming New Year!!

My favorite kind of heroes in books are the ones who come
through and help out without wantjng their actions to be
noticed!

My hero would be a man that would go through hell and high waters ( if need be ) to protect me or his children and treat me like a woman . You know , like a foot massage ever once in awhile . That would be wonderful !!! Of course I suppose the little wife could do the same for her man . I wouldn't like a hero that bragged ,unless it was about his wife LOL

A competent one.

A strong man who rights wrongs, not arrogant but confident in his abilities yet somehow mistified by women but looking for love or maybe finding love as a complete surprise to himself.

My answer will be coming from a different perspective, given
that I am a heterosexual male and I love reading romance
novels.

The best heroes to me are men who are strong, but not
arrogant. He shows physical strength when he needs to, but
is sensitive to the needs of those around him and is caring,
understanding, and aware of the thoughts, feelings, and
concerns of the woman he falls in love with. Not every book
has this type of character.

I'd say men who can lead and who are strong with a mind of their own.. A manly man!!!
(
Bonnie Capuano 3:52pm December 2, 2015)

my favorite hero is the one who has been traumatized by the events in his life, yet doesn't show it to the outside world. Its not until a woman comes along and helps him to heal and become a better man.

I love a wounded hero, who is also honorable, brave,
intelligent, and kind (even though he may hide it).
(
Janie McGaugh 10:53pm December 2, 2015)

My favorite type of hero is one that sticks it out when things look back and rescues those who need help.
