Suspense | Thriller

New York attorney turned venture capitalist, Max Slade, knows a thing or two about high-stakes situations. But when the man who stole his ex-fiancée away is murdered, Max suddenly finds himself in a brand new role: that of prime suspect. With the threat of prison in his future, Slade turns his hand to investigating and finds himself digging into the dangerous world of corporate takeovers, high-tech espionage, and deadly liaisons in the Big Apple. With his girlfriend pushing their relationship, his past threatening to catch up to him, and a killer closing in, Slade's days are numbered. But if he can outrun the competition—without spilling his scotch—he may just be able to outwit a killer. That is, if the killer doesn't catch him first...

Re: Murder.com

Since I'm still in the process of waking up here, the only
character that comes to mind for me is the Janet Evanovich
character, Stephanie Plum. However, she is actually paired
with 2 different male characters. One is named Ranger, and
the cop's name escapes me at the moment. This book sounds
like it should be not only a bit of a fun read, but a bit of
a page-turner, and I'm looking forward to reading it.
Congratulations on your book!!

Currently, my favorite duo is Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller
from Broadchurch.

First, congrats on the release David! Looking forward to
reading your book!

I was a big fan of Moonlighting as well :) I also
enjoyed Cagney and Lacey (though not really a "couple"
lol) and, along the same lines, Rizzoli and Isles. Of
course, no crime solving duo discussion would be complete
without Sherlock and Watson :) (in the tv series, Watson
is a woman, does that count? LOL)

Again congrats!!

Holmes and Watson

Lily and Rule from the World of the Lupi Series by Eileen Wilks
Not only do they show that they work well together when solving mysteries/crimes, but even with the opposing circumstances and difference cultures, they work well to show that they're the perfect couple.

I have to agree with Anne Marie on Castle and Beckett, but I love your noir
