Linda Joyce
Linda Joyce was born on Christmas Eve in Biloxi, Mississippi. Courtesy of the United States Air Force, she and her family lived coast to coast in the U.S. and spent four years in Japan. Her vagabond childhood afforded her a variety of travel opportunities. Her parents encouraged her to take advantage of those valuable educational experiences. Linda penned her first manuscript while living in Japan. Her classmates lined up at recess to read her latest pages. During high school in Florida, a literary magazine published her poetry. She worked as a reporter and learned newspaper design and layout while in college. A graduate of the University of Florida, Linda holds a Bachelor of Science in Management. After college, she took a position as a claims manager, and during her career, she earned her Senior Claims Law Associate professional designation and completed her Six Sigma Green Belt. Life experiences: Over the years, Linda has taken flying lessons, worked as a hairdresser, and was part-owner of a steakhouse, where she learned to grill steaks during a Saturday night rush. Now, she writes. Linda Joyce is an award-winning professional writer. Linda and her husband, Don, a fifth generation Floridian, now live in Atlanta with their four-legged boys, General Beauregard, Gentleman Jack and Masterpiece Renoir. Linda and Don love college football, boiled peanuts, any and all seafood, and grits with eggs. They spend many weekends RVing, and at last count, they’ve traveled to twenty-one states with “the boys.”
