Just the word elicits memories. For me, it’s years of gathering with the family and inviting new friends into the fold; waking up to  Read More...

Tracy Garrett can’t remember when books weren’t a part of her life. Some of her most treasured possessions are books given to her by her parents and grandparents. From bedtime stories to extra credit reading assignments, Tracy has always loved to disappear into the pages of a good story.

When her need for creativity and her passion for reading began to merge, Tracy knew writing historical romance was the path she would take. As a descendant of the colorful Hatfields, the past has always held a fascination for her. She constantly pestered her grandparents for stories of their youth, their families and experiences. Even her first car was vintage: her grandpa’s 1952 Chevy.

The moment she moved to Texas, more than twenty-five years ago, Tracy fell in love with the vast state and its amazing history. From cowboys to gold mines, mountains to the Gulf of Mexico, Texas has it all, and she’s thrilled to be able to share a little of it in her stories.

Touch of Texas is her debut novel.
