Awesome post, Jeannie! I've had many people comment on how much they enjoy a scene of mine where a young character describes an older, father figure as someone who doesn't flaunt his status. The boy knows that because he knows the father figure is a nobleman and could afford to dress more expensively than he does. I look forward to the Pearl!
