I still re-read my collection of Barbara Michaels. I really like her contemporary gothics, probably more than the historical ones.

Shelley, your post started me thinking about the old-fashioned covers on historical gothics. Remember the sweeping gowns that any normal fleeing heroine would trip over? the long hair, the wide eyes and ohno expression? I have a sneaking fondness for those covers, but I love the one Carina Press gave The Spurned Viscountess.
