released. Nora Roberts writing as J.D. ROBB released
FURY IN DEATH, the 63rd installment of the
long-running romantic futuristic police suspense series. Lt.
Eve Dallas, with the help of her gorgeous gazillionaire
husband Roarke, is again catching murderers in mid-21st-
century New York City.
Through a tragic occurrence, the Summer 2048
prologue introduces the catalyst for the events that will
occur in September of 2061. Each In Death
book picks up where the last leaves off and always features
a slew of fabulous secondary characters, both in and out of
the police department.
People associated with an ethically challenged
global biotech company are found brutally beaten to death.
With the killer fueled by rage and chemical enhancements,
Eve and Peabody must identify the targeted victims before
the suspect can exact vengeance. And on a personal front for
Peabody and Mavis, the housewarming bash finally occurs.
As always, I absolutely loved the book, and
not a negative; Eve is definitely softer and more emotional
in this book. And there is also a stronger tone of sympathy
and compassion toward the killer among the characters. Ready
for the next one!
