Madison March is many things: an influencer with millions of followers who envy and support her commitment to being a traditional wife, a model wife and a doting mother to her four children. It's too bad it's all a lie. Even more than that, it is a dangerous game based on lies and the perfect life is on a collision course towards implosion.

THE TRADWIFE'S SECRET, by Liane Child, is an exploration of a marriage that is troubling in so many ways that it defies all logic that it has lasted as long as it has. Readers are introduced to a domineering and dangerous husband who gives new meaning to the words control freak. Lori, Madison's live-in friend, is a mystery.  Her history, bizarre relationship and standing in the Marches' lives are based on secrets, too. However, it is Madison who is perhaps the most puzzling of all.  Readers will have to decide for themselves if she is a narcissist, a victim or just a woman who will do anything to hang onto her charmed life.

Cleverly plotted, the author has crafted a story in which readers know from the beginning that something is terribly wrong in the March family's beautiful Montana home. With perfect pacing, secrets are revealed and just when it seems all the facts have surfaced, there is one more surprise.

THE TRADWIFE'S SECRET will keep readers engaged from start to finish.  Highly recommended.
