This book was so good. I enjoyed how we started off with Cole and Storee being enemies and doing everything they could to win the Kringle competition. Since Cole still harbors anger at Storee he refuses to let her come back after 10 years and take a title sacred to the town. He does everything he can including asking her on a date but when she says yes he realizes he has to pretend to like her in public. But when something unexpected happens they talk out why he’s angry with her and they become friends like they were when they were little. They learn that what they thought they knew and needed wasn’t very accurate. She brings him out of his Grinchy spirit and he begins to enjoy the holiday again. I loved all the witty banter and the back-and-forth dialogue was hilarious. It made me happy that they still joked around even after getting together. I really loved Storee’s firecracker personality and seeing beneath Cole’s grumpy exterior. The narrator was also a fantastic touch and made me laugh when Cole would interrupt him. And Max was a fantastic side character and I love how well the friendship was captured between him and Cole.
Overall, this book was funny, spicy, sweet and cute. It definitely got me into the holiday spirit!
