Thriller Psychological

THE TEACHER by Freida McFadden
Know that feeling when a book grabs you and won't let go? That's what happened to me with THE TEACHER. I was completely absorbed from start to finish.
Meet Eve, a math teacher who has an unnatural fetish for shoes she can't afford. Meet Nate, a beloved English teacher who's easy on the eyes. The two have NOTHING in common but somehow they are married and work at the same high school, Caseham High.
Freida McFadden does a lovely job of telling this story. As the reader you quickly realize that the subject matter is sensitive. She still finds a way to tell her story with the twists and turns that shock but still shows the necessary consideration.
At first glance, THE TEACHER presents a seemingly straightforward narrative: A married couple finds their lives entangled with Addie, a student surrounded by rumors. But as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that nothing is as simple as it seems. Although we get several different points of view, good luck figuring out which one to trust.

What I loved most about THE TEACHER was how it made me think about trust and the shades of right and wrong.

THE TEACHER is a psychological thriller that does not shy away from the darker aspects of human nature. It's a story that explores the complexities of trust, deception, and morality. While some characters may not be loveable, and the plot may at times seem far-fetched, the book's addictive quality and fast pace make it a good read for fans of the genre.

SUMMARY

A mind-bending, psychological thriller from the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of The Housemaid!

Something isn't right at Caseham High School. Last year, the school was rocked by scandal: a teacher was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Now, Addie is a pariah and will do anything to get through the year. More than that, she's desperate to keep the truth from coming to light.

Evie, a colleague of the disgraced teacher, is horrified to find Addie in her class. She knows the girl can't be trusted and soon realizes she's being watched—which is dangerous, considering she's hiding something from her husband.

But each has secrets about what happened last year. And someone in this school will do anything to keep them silent.
