It’s been a while since I’ve read a thriller quite like NEVER NEVER. Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher weave an intriguing mystery that holds a lot of questions but I found myself struggling to really get into the story. In this thriller novel, Charlie and Silas used to be in love. They were inseparable since they were kids. So how is it possible that they don’t know each other now?
As the mystery unfolds, readers will discover the truth of what happened. I know this book has its hype around it, but unfortunately, I didn’t fall for it as so many other readers have. I wasn’t a huge fan of the writing style and although the premise was interesting, the characters weren’t compelling enough to me. I was a bit disappointed in the direction the storyline took, so I found myself putting this book down more than I expected. In the end, I managed to finish it, but it didn’t capture my heart as it had with so many others.
I’m not disappointed in NEVER NEVER, but perhaps curious if this style of writing is the best fit for me. It has its interesting twists, but overall, I felt like I wanted something more. NEVER NEVER is a romantic mystery that still leaves me guessing.
