Ilona Andrews is back with a vengeance with RUBY FEVER, the sixth book in the Hidden Legacy series. Sadly, this is the conclusion of the trilogy. However, Prime magic user, Catalina Baylor and her fiancé, Alessandro, don’t disappoint.

To be honest, this story read like a movie to me. I could see the scenes so clearly in my head that I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Initially, it was a little slow, but I’ve learned that that is how Ilona Andrews typically operates. They like to make you think all is good in the world and that the characters have a good grasp on things before trouble comes barging in.

Once that happens, all hell breaks loose, and that’s where all the action and suspense start to occur. With RUBY FEVER, I felt like there were so many humorous and fast-paced moments that I couldn’t decide which I enjoyed more.

Although not my favorite of the series, I think it was a great conclusion to a strong book trilogy within the Hidden Legacy series. I expect many fans will be praying for more books or perhaps another spin-off series. I’m not willing to walk away from Catalina and her friends just yet.

But if you’re in the mood for a flashy, fast-paced read, I would definitely pick up RUBY FEVER and any book by this author. I have never been disappointed with an Ilona Andrews book.
