Christina Lauren's newest book, SOMETHING WILDER, is a wonderful tale full of adventure, second-chance romance, a villain or two (or four), and a happily-ever-after. The prologue introduces us to the main characters, Lily and Leo. The two are wildly in love and embarking on their life together running her family’s ranch in Laramie, Wyoming. Unfortunately, love can never be that easy. The real story begins in Chapter One and set ten years later. The lovers are apart. Lily has lost the ranch and is living a depressing and monotonous existence. She leads tourists on horseback riding treks in the wilds of Utah "searching" for Butch Cassidy's lost treasure using her father's map. Leo is working in an office job in New York City. Four men - a loud one, a sweet potato, a creep, and a cute, quiet one - book a guy's trip with Lily's company. Leo is, of course, the quiet one. As the days unfold, the treasure hunt becomes real while Lily and Leo sort through steamy chemistry that never truly went away, old misunderstandings, and Lily's difficult Daddy issues. The author develops interesting personalities, including Lily's tough co-worker and friend - Nicole, and Leo's buddies - Bradley, Walter, and Terry, as well as other numerous hilarious supporting characters they meet during the journey in beautiful Canyonlands National Park.
SOMETHING WILDER will make you laugh out loud as you root for Lily and Leo to locate the treasure, return the ranch to her, and find a way for them to be together again.
