WHAT HAPPENS ON VACATION is a flirty, sizzling addition in the Westmoreland Legacy: The Outlaws Series by Brenda Jackson.  This family is so large and continues to grow with endless possibilities for more stories by Ms. Jackson. The Outlaws are an offshoot of the Westmorelands with such strong genes and resemblance until the father does not recognize his own son. This story is all about seizing an opportunity that was missed.  It also shows how vulnerabilities appear when past hurts and experiences come into view.

Brenda Jackson has a wonderful ability to give you a bird’s eye view of whatever family she writes about.  This family is spread throughout the country, and even in the Middle East.  They have varied backgrounds (military, politics, entertainment, business - just to name a few).  When they all come together you get to familiarize yourself again with their individual stories.

WHAT HAPPENS ON VACATION takes place in Napa Valley where Alaskan senator Jessup Outlaw goes to enjoy some much needed R and R.  While there, he once again meets Hollywood actress Paige Novak.  Paige is also looking for some R and R after being in the spotlight because of getting some unwanted attention.  Jess and Paige had some flirtatious chemistry years before, but they were not able to pursue a relationship at the time.  This time around, they are both free to see where things will go.  To steer things away from the unwanted attention of a scandal, Jess and Paige decide to make the press aware of their Napa Valley romance.  Will this be a “what happens on vacation, stays on vacation” situation?

I never get tired of reading anything by Brenda Jackson and am always satisfied.  I’m looking forward to seeing where the next story in this series will take us.  You can rest assured that you will not be disappointed.  I’m patiently waiting to find out what secret Bart Outlaw is holding regarding his Westmoreland heritage!
