Romance Suspense

It has been years since Shane has made and appearance in Josie's life. Now the man arrives with amnesia and nowhere else to go, or anyone else turn to. Josie remembers the man she married and the love she thought that they shared but when she also remembers how he disappeared within months of their marriage she is not so keen on helping the man out. Yet is seems that Josie will help Shane, she cannot seem to shake the effect that he has on her, and she longs to see the real man behind the façade he always wore. Can the two survive and figure out just why Shane is back before it is too late? Josie and Shane come from two different worlds, but Josie continues to see the good in the man no matter what. Their relationship has many ups and downs, but love may just win in the end. There is a lot of drama in FORGOTTEN SINS by Rebecca Zanetti. Josie is kidnapped so many times that it gets to be repetitive and silly. The men continue to remark on how much of an angel and how soft she looks and even she gets annoyed with it. Yet she is never truly as tough as she keeps stating and she is continuously rescued by the hero. I quickly became exasperated with all the villains attacking Josie and it was obvious from the start who many of them were. As Shane begins to remember things it is hard to understand how he got in this predicament to begin with. I did enjoy the camaraderie that Shane and his brothers have and the way they brought Josie into the fold. Josie is faithful and supportive of the men and longs for a family of her own which becomes annoying. This thought is repeated too many times as well; it is constantly repeated that she is an orphan looking for a family to call her own. Right from the start you can see the love that the brothers share for each other and that they will do what ever it takes to keep one another safe. This book is a little too repetitive for me and the romance lacked heat for me. Narrator Karen White brings this story to life. She speaks clearly and at a good pace. I quickly found myself immersed in this story and engaged all the way to the end.
