By chance, on a trip to the English countryside, Sarah Mackey meets
Eddie David and they instantly fall in love. They spend seven blissful
and romantic days together until Sarah has to return to London for work
and Eddie goes on a long-planned vacation. Both promise the other to
keep in touch and figure out how to make things work even though
Sarah lives in LA, and Eddie is in the UK. But after some unanswered
texts, Sarah not only starts to worry, but she wonders if she imagined
their immediate attraction.
Feeling like she can't make sense of things, Sarah turns to her friends
for advice. Her friend from high school, Tommy, tells her to forget
about Eddie, that he's just one of those guys who leads women on. But
her close friend and colleague, Jenni, believes that if Sarah and Eddie
really did have a strong connection and that Sarah is truly falling for
Eddie, she should do whatever it takes to find out what is really going
on.
As Sarah returns to LA, still hoping for any message from Eddie, she
begins to reflect on the events in her life that led to her eventual
meeting with him... Was their chance meeting actually a coincidence?
Or are they connected in a way that neither expects?
GHOSTED by Rosie Walsh is an
intriguing and thoughtful look at the surprising ways we are all
connected. Sarah and Eddie's immediate and passionate love comes on
strong, and neither can deny there's something more than just a fun
and sexy fling between them. But when Eddie seemingly falls off the
face of the earth, Sarah can't let it go. The more she thinks about
things, the more she tries to find Eddie and discovers he's not in grave
danger, the more Sarah begins to wonder if they really met by chance.
Rosie Walsh weaves an interesting mystery, with some heartbreaking
and surprising twists. The story did lag in the middle, and Sarah is
somewhat annoying at times, but the set up for a big reveal makes for a
worthwhile and satisfying conclusion.
