Young Adult Fantasy
The first book in a new young adult fantasy trilogy by Sara
Wolf is titled BRING ME THEIR HEARTS. This intriguing young
adult romance fantasy draws you in from the beginning and
keeps getting better with each page you read. The more you
learn about the characters and their past will help to
explain their reactions to certain situations they are in.
Each character is well-developed, and all have interesting
backstories that help them to stand out from the rest. Wolf has created a fantasy world unlike any other. One that
is creative and unique. The mysterious allure that surrounds
this world makes it truly inviting but terrifying of the
unknowns. The perfect backdrop to a truly remarkable read.
Her writing style is vividly unique and helps to create the
perfect fantasy world for a story unlike any other. The Ruthless Song
series is one that is sure to take readers away to a fantasy
world that they will easily get lost in. A world where the
unknown could be a good thing and a bad thing all rolled
into one. The plot is one that is sure to catch you by
surprise with its many twists and turns. A book that is sure to leave you wanting more and excitedly
waiting for the next book in this outstanding new series.
Wolf creates fascinating characters that are vividly
realistic and easy to relate to. A story that is fascinating
with creative fantasy elements and a hint of romance. I was
drawn in immediately and could not put down until I knew how
it ended. I was shocked at the ending and truly did not see
it coming! Now, I have to wait until the next book in the
series!
SUMMARY
Zera is a Heartless—the immortal, unaging soldier of a
witch. Bound to the witch Nightsinger ever since she
saved her from the bandits who murdered her family, Zera
longs for freedom from the woods they hide in. With her
heart in a jar under Nightsinger’s control, she serves
the witch unquestioningly. Until Nightsinger asks Zera for a prince’s heart in
exchange for her own, with one addendum: if she’s
discovered infiltrating the court, Nightsinger will
destroy Zera’s heart rather than see her tortured by the
witch-hating nobles. Crown Prince Lucien d’Malvane hates the royal court as
much as it loves him—every tutor too afraid to correct
him and every girl jockeying for a place at his darkly
handsome side. No one can challenge him—until the arrival
of Lady Zera. She’s inelegant, smart-mouthed, carefree,
and out for his blood. The prince’s honor has him quickly
aiming for her throat. So begins a game of cat and mouse between a girl with
nothing to lose and a boy who has it all. Winner takes the loser’s heart. Literally.
