UNDER FIRE by Scarlett Cole is the first book in the Love Over Duty series and is a romantic suspense novel. Who doesn't like reading a book that involves a smoking hot ex-SEAL who is now in the security business and assigned to protect you?

I really enjoyed reading this first book in this series and know that this series is going to be amazing! You will be drawn into a world of action, suspense, and steamy romance as you turn page after page. Six and Louisa are the two main characters along with the rest of Six's SEAL team brothers who work at the security company. Six is all business and is sworn to protect all of his clients. While Louisa is an extremely shy woman who keeps to herself. She really does not do much outside of work and is very dedicated to the job at hand. They met at a gala where Louisa is doing a presentation and Six is working security. The chemistry is almost instant and Six is drawn to her sensing that she is different.

Cole writes a captivating and intense story line that is well crafted for the characters she has put a lot of thought into. The characters all have established past stories that help to mesh with and develop the overall story. UNDER FIRE is so full of drama and suspense right up to the last page. Their relationship takes on many twists and turns making you question if they will be together after all the dust settles. I really enjoyed reading this novel and highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good romantic suspense story with a sexy SEAL to protect them. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!
