MAYBE THIS CHRISTMAS is the fifth book in the Colorado Ice series. This is the perfect read for the cooler months ahead. A great book to read while snuggling in a blanket and sure to heat things up!

The story centers around the hot and steamy relationship of Asher Westmore and Emma Callaway. This relationship is never boring with a heated attraction that can heat up even the coldest of nights. Asher is determined to follow in his older sibling's footsteps and play professional hockey. He has issues with a past knee injury and is trying to keep it hidden from everyone. Now he only has two games left in order to hit his one-thousandth game, a major career milestone. During one of these games he manages to injure his knee further and his secret is revealed. After an emergency surgery, he is sent home to Colorado to recuperate and must go through physical therapy.

Emma, a former professional snowboarder and Olympic gold medalist, is now a physical therapist. After a severe accident ended her career, she moved back to Colorado and has been working there for a while. Archer has always been a great friend, but it did not take long for their friendship to include "benefits." They have an understanding that their careers come first and they know what they want to achieve. There was no room for a relationship but the chemistry they share cannot be denied. Will this attraction remain purely physical or is it something more?

This book is full of drama, love, friendship, family, and many heated arguments that turn into sizzling, page-turning scenes that are sure to keep you warm at night. The characters are realistic and easy to relate to. The setting takes place in Colorado with is perfect for a cold- weather sports romance. While this is part of a series it can easily be read as a standalone novel. The real question is will this Christmas be the one where their friendship becomes more? Definitely pick up MAYBE THIS CHRISTMAS to find out!

SUMMARY

All wrapped up . . . One more game. That's all that stands between NHL star Asher Westmore and a major career milestone. But then his brother bashes him against the hockey boards, sidelining him for months. Over Christmas holidays, no less. If staying off the ice doesn't drive him crazy, staying with his family will. The only bright spot amidst the mistletoe and twinkle lights: His best friend, Emma, is a physical therapist. And working out with her improves his body and his spirit. One last time. Emma Callaway was in trouble the minute she and Asher added benefits to their friendship. How is she supposed to resist a funny, caring guy who makes her toes curl? Her heart was safe while he lived in a different state. Now that he's back home recuperating, though, it's only a matter of time before she blurts out her feelings. Emma's only hope is that with a little holiday magic, she'll get the best Christmas gift of all.
