KEEP ME POSTED by Lisa Beazley is about two sisters who
agree to be pen-pals. What could possibly go wrong? Cassie
and Sid are
very close, so when their lives take them in different
directions they decide to write each other. What happens
when all their secrets are out on the internet for
everyone to read?
All of a sudden, out of nowhere they
have gained an audience that wants to know what is going
to happen next. Now they are faced with trying to deal
with being in the spotlight that neither of them wanted
all while trying to keep their personal lives from
falling apart. Each woman has a family of their own to
take care of and protect. How will the effects of a
careless action affect each of them and the ones they
love? Dealing with all this drama, they prove that
strength, courage, and family can help them through their
darkest hours.
KEEP ME POSTED is very relatable. Who hasn't
had something that was meant to be a secret get out? The
characters are well written and are very realistic. They
feel like they could be your friends or family. You will
laugh at times and cry at times all throughout this
novel. The setting helps to add depth to the overall
story making it seem real. Beazley writes with just so much
detail about all the little things that even the stationary
seems so lovely you will want to go to the office supply
store. KEEP ME POSTED will leave you with a warm feeling in
your heart that is shared between these two sisters. A
perfect fun and light read for a long weekend.
The once-close Sunday sisters have not done a bang-up job
of keeping in touch. Cassie is consumed with trying to
make her life work as a Manhattan wife and mom to twin
toddlers, while her bighearted sister, Sid, lives an
expat’s life of leisure in far-off Singapore. So Sid, who
shuns social media, challenges Cassie to reconnect
through old-fashioned letters.
Soon, the letters become a kind of mutual confessional
that have real and soul-satisfying effects. They just
might have the power to help Cassie save her marriage,
and give Sid the strength to get her life back on track.
But first, one of Cassie’s infamous lapses in judgment
comes back to bite her, and all of the letters wind up in
the one place you’d never, ever want to see them: the
Internet . . .
