Romance Historical

Legendary healer Aliss awakens in the middle of the night to help an ill clan member. Not expecting trouble, she walks into a trap. Her kidnappers steal her away from her home to cure their clan members of a mysterious disease. Known for her gentleness, Aliss remembers advice from her warrior twin sister. Aliss attempts to understand her enemy in order to find his weakness. She negotiates with her captor to free her once she cures his clan.

Rogan the Wolf, chieftain to a clan of outcasts, kidnaps the healer in order to stop the deadly mysterious illness that is ravaging his clan. His second reason for Aliss' abduction is a way to settle an old debt of honor. As he watches Aliss devote her time and give tirelessly to help his people, Rogan's deceit weighs heavily on his mind. However, honor prevents him from telling Aliss the true reason for her capture. He only hopes when the truth comes out, she'll forgive him and stay with him.

Working with Rogan, Aliss acknowledges the intense feelings she's developing for him. For the first time, she has to reconcile the conflict between being a healer and a woman. Uncovering Rogan's lie nearly kills their growing love. He must regain her trust while not betraying his clan.

Ms. Fletcher provides an entertaining medieval romance as readers enjoy watching the gentle healer tame the cunning wolf. She adds a touch of magic and a surprise at the end, giving readers a satisfying end to the Twins' adventures.
