PERILOUS POETRY is the third book in the Book Barn Mystery series. I feel that there is a lot going on in this book but it still held my attention to the end. There is a lot of suspense, mystery, twists, and turns throughout this novel. I was really surprised at the identity of the killer and was really second guessing myself the whole time I was reading. The ending is well planned out and makes for the overall story. The characters are well developed and have interesting backstories that help to mesh with the plot line and overall story. There are a few secondary characters that make an appearance in this story just like the other one I read in this book series.
I really like PERILOUS POETRY is not just a suspense novel because you have just enough romance to make this book a great read. A well written, fast-paced cozy mystery that has well developed and likable characters with good humor and a bit of romance. Plus the setting is well described and extremely detailed so it makes the story feel even more realistic. What more could you ask for in a novel?
