Young Adult Science Fiction

ENIGMA by Tonya Kuper is the second book in the Schrodinger's Consortium book series. I am so happy that I choose to read this book. I found it to be filled with romance, action, fantasy and lots of deception. ENIGMA is a fast pace sci-fi book that will keep you on your toes. I truly enjoy reading about Josie and watch her character develop and evolve throughout this book. I feel that in the first book [ANOMALY] she seemed naive and even innocent. In ENIGMA, Josie and Reid go on a road trip to try to escape with the main priority to keep Josie safe. However, more choices and decisions need to be made in order for everyone around her to be safe. So, they decide to try to catch the hole or The Inside Man and this proves to be dangerous. During all of this, the relationship with Josie and Reid seems to heat up quickly.

ENIGMA can be read as a standalone but once you read it you will definitely want to read the first book. While ENGIMA concludes the story, I honestly hope for another book from this series or another book with these characters. Anyone who loves sci-fi fantasy like Divergent will love ENGIMA!

While I did enjoy reading this, I found that the ending was a remarkable whirlwind with a very surprise ending that may even leave you in shock. Overall, I found ENIGMA to be a great read with lots of twists, turns and surprising moments along the way. I did enjoy the character developments and interactions along the way. The author creates a truly outstanding story that will draw you in from the first page and leave you hoping for another book in the series. I highly recommend this book and truly enjoyed reading it!

SUMMARY

Worst. Road Trip. Ever.

Escaping with Reid Wentworth should have been fun, but how can I enjoy it when I just (accidentally) killed someone, my mom and brother are in danger, and the Consortium is trying to enslave humanity? (Yeah, they aren't fooling around.) So feeling something for Reid Wentworth was not part of the plan. Trying to help unite the Resistance against the Consortium means I can’t be distracted by hot boys.

The Resistance secret hideout isn’t exactly Hoth's Echo Base. A traitor there wants me dead, but we have no idea who it is. And with both the Resistance and the Consortium trying to control me, the only one I can trust is Reid. If we’re going to have any chance of protecting my family, controlling my unstable powers, and surviving the clash between the Oculi factions, I’m going to have to catch this traitor. By using myself as bait.
