The new Governor has created a Missing Persons Task Force. Detective Evie Blackwell and her new partner are getting started trying to find two separate missing people. One a college student and one a private detective.
As Evie starts to work the missing college student, her partner David Marshal begins on the missing private detective. Both work non stop for days trying to make connections and get the cases started again. As their list of suspects grows, they discover a connection between the two missing people. Now they must both focus on one case and try to sort through all the information to discover a killer that may have made a lot more than just one person go missing.
Both Evie and David work hard to balance the turmoil in the private lives with their work lives. Both have marriage proposals on the table and are being held back by issues. Can they work the case and work through their private problems at the same time?
Dee Henderson is an inspirational writer that is able to introduce the reader to religion and tie it into the stories without beating them over the head. I find that people listen better if you don't knock them unconscious first. The best part of it though is that Henderson is also able to provide the reader with a great mystery. THREADS OF SUSPICION has a cast of characters you love and a story-line that is gripping.
