ONE MORE KISS is the first book in the new series Shaughnessy: Band on the Run which is a spin off of the Shaughnessy Brothers Series. The band has taken a break and each member is trying to do their own individual projects. Guitar player Matt Reed takes on the project of performing in a play which does not turn out as he anticipates. Because of the epic fail he goes into hiding from his fans, humiliation of his failure and the pain from his past. Once again Samantha Chase provides a rewarding story about family and all the dynamics involved. She shows how even though someone may have a successful career they still have problems which can affect their self esteem.

Vivienne Forrester puts her all in her family and her online blog. She really put herself out there when she shared a passionate kiss with Matt only to be humiliated when she sees Matt again and it's obvious he does not remember their last encounter.

Now that Matt is in hiding he and Viv will be forced to spend time together and when they share ONE MORE KISS everything comes back and he recalls their last time together. Viv has some issues with her parents which makes her cautious about sharing herself and her feelings. When you add those issues with the painful memory of her time with Matt you will understand why she is cautious. Matt understands her cautions and has to convince her to give him another chance. Matt also has some family issues that he has never shared with anyone. Viv helps Matt to open up and share the story of his painful past. Matt and Viv help each other to come to terms with their family issues.

This is a great story about how these two people come to terms with their family issues and find the courage to confront them. A great beginning for this new series.
