HANG TOUGH is the eighth book in the Blacktop Cowboys series and it features Tobin Hale and Jade Evans. When Jade comes to visit her grandmother, Garnet she encounter Tobin and they immediately start this incessant bickering. If you've read Lorelei James before then you know that she's used this love/hate trope before. Usually I think she does a good job of building a relationship from virtually nothing but I found it a bit odd how intense the hatred was between Tobin and Jade from the first moment they met. Jade came across as quite rude in some cases and I wasn't sure I could forgive some of the things she said or the assumptions she made about Tobin.

Garnet is obviously a major part of this book. She acts as the comic relief and also the mediator in this book. I liked her character but she is also quite over the top. There were some scenes where I think she commanded the readers attention, taking away from the romance and other characters.

As you can expect, this series is packed full with intense sex scenes. I wouldn't consider any of the characters shy in the bedroom and I think that's the key to any Erotic Romance series but particularly this one. Although they started with intensely disliking each other, they sure have amazing chemistry.

HANG TOUGH will no question make you want to rope in a cowboy for yourself. If only we were all as lucky as Jade to have a Tobin of our own.
