Fantasy Urban

For the long-time fans of the Kate Daniels series, although the end is near, there's still a lot to rejoice about in MAGIC BINDS. Kate and her lover, Curran are looking to tie the knot and makes things official. However, things won't go accordingly to plan that easily, especially when Kate's father, Roland, has kidnapped Saiman to use him for his own diabolical plan.

Much like the rest of the series, there's humor and action in spades. The balance of these two is likely what makes this series so delicious and easy to read. When it comes to Urban Fantasy, the Kate Daniels series remains as one of my favorites and I've found that the quality of writing and plotting has only improved with each book in the series. Despite many readers' wishes for more books, I think the series is definitely winding down, but it's done in a way that is entirely satisfying so I doubt readers will be too upset about the approaching end. I can't help but mention that there are many characters who I'm sure readers would love to read a spin-off about but before we start demanding that, I think it's good to bask in the loveliness that is MAGIC BINDS because it really is a perfect endgame for these characters as the series winds down. You definitely feel like despite everything that has happened to them throughout this series, Kate and Curran are truly at peace with their relationship.

If you haven't read this series and are looking to try it, I would highly suggest starting it from the beginning. As the mentioned, each book improves on the previous one, making it a gem in the Urban Fantasy genre. With Kate and Curran, you are guaranteed a good read!
