INTO THE BLUE is the second book in the new Wild Aces series by Chanel Cleeton about sexy F-16 fighter pilots. I am enjoy reading about how these fighter pilots are trying to find some middle ground where they can continue to do what they love but also have a family. This novel is about regret, forgiveness and compromise. It also deals with PTSD and seeking help when needed. Ten years ago Eric "Thor"Jansen chose his career of flying over a life with his fiancee Becca Madison. It was not only his choices but also his method of telling Becca of his choice. When you do something that truly hurts someone in a way that appears to be irrevocable is it possible to come back from that?
Eric "Thor" Jansen and his team are grieving the loss of a friend. The loss is having a big effect on Thor and the way he performs his job. He returns home to South Carolina hoping to find a way to cope with the loss but also to fix the mistake he made ten years ago when he left Becca behind. Becca was devastated when Eric walked away and she is none too happy to see him back in South Carolina. Thor knows he made a mistake when he left Becca behind but will he convince Becca to take another chance with him?
Thor takes the time to examine his guilty feelings about Joker's death and how it's affecting his ability to fly. And also being back home in South Carolina he realizes just how much he wants a life with Becca. But he also knows he really needs to find a way that works for both of them. Becca was so hurt when Eric left her before so she is scared to risk her heart again. But spending time together they both realize that the feelings from ten years ago are still there. Now they have to decide if there is any way to start again.
This is a great new series by Chanel Cleeton about finding compromises that benefits everyone, learning from past mistakes and forgiveness.
