Romance Historical

LANA AND THE LAIRD is the third book in the Untamed Highlanders series by Sabrina York, it can be read by itself but since I love this series, I recommend reading the three books in order.

Lachlan Sinclair, The Duke of Caithness, has been deceived by his only relative since childhood to believe in a curse that will destroy him, like all his ancestors, by his 30th birthday. He is prepared to live his life without an heir and wife and restore his castle before his birthday.

Now after living most his life in England, he returns to Scotland to get help from his Barons to restore his castle. But when he is misinformed that one of his Barons is a traitor, he decides to visit him and deal with directly. He didn't predict he would meet the woman in his dream in flesh and hopes for more.

Lana Dounreay is the youngest daughter of Magnus, Laird of Reay, she has the ability to see and communicate with ghosts and for this skill most of the people believe that she is strange and a witch. But when she meets the Duke of Caithness, she knows he needs her help to not believe in curses and to become a true highlander.

Sabrina York is now one of my auto buy authors after reading LANA AND THE LAIRD. Even though it's only the third book of hers I've read I've fallen in love with the Untamed Highlanders series and with her. Her writing is so wonderful it captures you throughout the whole book. Lana and Lachlan's story is really good but I loved the first two in the series even more. As I am not that much a fan of ghost stories still Sabrina created a great story for me to read. I loved the ending; it was a perfect ending for the trilogy with adventures, great mystery and funny scenes. Thank you Sabrina York!

SUMMARY

LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD

Lachlan Sinclair cannot escape his accursed heritage in his Highlands homeland. Somewhat resigned to the fate that destroyed his ancestors, he is prepared to live his life without an heir, without a wife―without love. But when he meets the woman of his dreams in the flesh, the bewitching lass makes him want to throw away his cursed, restrained existence…and unleash the highlander within…

Lana Dounreay has only seen the Duke of Caithness in her dreams as a wild, rugged man, while in reality, his life has been cramped by curses and cravats. He may have forgone his kilt and lost his brogue, but Lana knows that the heart of a true Scotsman beats within his broad, muscular chest. But what plans does the mysterious, passionate Lachlan have in mind for her―and can she convince him that love is stronger than all else?
