FLY WITH ME is part of a new series, the Wild Aces, by Chanel Cleeton about a group of U. S. Air Force F16 fighter pilots. I have read a couple of other series by Chanel Cleeton that I really enjoyed and have been looking forward to this one. This is a steamy romance about some hot, gorgeous fighter pilots. You will learn some fighter pilot jargon, their hectic schedules, the difficulty of maintaining a relationship and dealing with loss among their rank. I really enjoyed the camaraderie these guys share with each other. There is a touching scene when the pilots come together to lend support to the wife of their fallen pilot.
U. S. Air Force fighter pilot Noah "Burn" Miller is in Las Vegas partying with his buddies when his eyes lock with a gorgeous woman on the dance floor. Jordan Callahan is in Vegas for the weekend throwing a party for her younger sister who is about to get married. Jordan has basically given up on finding love when her world is flipped when she meets and dances with the hot pilot.
Noah and Jordan have a scorching hot weekend and try to find a way to have a long distance relationship. Living in two different states, along with Noah's job sending him on assignment at any given time puts a strain on things. The reality of the dangers that come with Noah's job hit Jordan when there is a sudden loss that puts everything in perspective. Noah wonders if it's fair to expect Jordan to except his career and all that goes with it. Jordan has for the first time found someone she truly wants to share her life with and has to decide if she is ready to accept what that means. They both have to decide if love is worth the risk.
FLY WITH ME is a great story about military life, relationships, pain of loss and finding a way to make a relationship work when it seems impossible. I predict that this is the beginning of another great series by Chanel Cleeton.
