London Shelby is a twenty six years old paralegal that has recently inherited her grandmother's millions as well as her Chateau. However, he doesn't seem to be as into her as she is to him, which leaves London blindsided by his betrayal when she finds him in bed with one of her friends. With her engagement to Deacon broken off, London needs to find her place in life. Nothing a little shopping therapy doesn't cure...it also gives London new hope for her future.
After she cut all ties with Deacon, London seems to actually get to a stage in her life where she is truly happy and content. With the opening of her own business and the beginnings of a solid relationship with another man, London is moving on. However, all too soon London finds herself in the single life again when a mysterious stranger shows up to the masquerade party for the opening of her new store.
A TASTE OF PLEASURE follows a young London through her life in her searching quest to find happiness and love. She hits some bumps along the way and possibly makes a few mistakes as well, but such is life. Antoinette is a new author for me, so I have nothing really to compare the writing style to. For me A TASTE OF PLEASURE seemed to lack a little something. I am not sure if it was just me personally or not.
