With characters that are fiery, strong, passionate and exciting, this novel starts with a bang and the thrilling plot keeps you hooked until the very end. For so long people have only seen what Derek wants them to see, but with the arrival of Rosamund he finds someone who sees beneath the bluster, to the man who has been deeply hurt by his past. And this absolutely terrifies him. I love Rosamund who is different from your average society lady - she is independently wealthy, strong, intelligent and spirited. The author perfectly portrays their chemistry and the secondary characters really enrich the plot as a whole. DUKE EVER AFTER by Eva Devon is a thoroughly entertaining, engrossing Regency Romance with a lively flare that gives it that something special, and I eagerly look forward to more from this talented author.
