INTO THE FURY is the first book in the BOSS, Inc.
series by
Kat Martin. As with all of her books this one is full of
excitement. If you have read her Brodies of Alaska,
then you are familiar with the family. Reading anything by
Kat Martin you should expect excitement with full force
action.
Ethan Brodie, PI/Bodyguard, has been hired to protect
lingerie models who have been getting threatening messages
from someone who considers them sinners, whores, and sluts.
One of the models, Valentine Hart, is a friend of the
family,
and Ethan has been asked to watch out for her. Ethan tells
himself his sole purpose is to provide security and to keep
his hands to himself. He is currently having difficulty
with
his darling four year old daughter's mother so he is not
interested in becoming involved with anyone. But when one
of
the models is murdered, he finds himself becoming the only
bodyguard who can protect Valentine.
After being around Valentine constantly Ethan discovers
his perception of her are off the mark. She is not the
fluff
piece he assumed her to be. Valerie had a rough life in
her early teens. Since then she has worked hard to turn
her
life around, thanks to her adoptive parents. She has goals
and career plans she is working toward and the modeling is
her
means to fulfill those plans.
Ethan and Valerie find they can't resist the feelings
between
them. But Valerie questions whether she can deal with the
repercussions of becoming involved with Ethan considering
her
teenage history.
I really enjoyed reading this novel because Ethan and
Valerie
show what happens when you are thrown INTO THE FURY.
Valerie
shows us how handy a curling iron is when threats ensue.
When the bullets start flying, Ethan and Valerie prove how
much
they have each other's backs and discover if they can have
a
future together.
If you have not read the Brodies of Alaska series, I
truly
recommend them. If you like alpha men and strong
independent
women, then you should read any Kat Martin books. I am
looking forward to the next book in the BOSS, Inc.
series which will
follow the story of Dirk and Megan, who is one of the
models
from INTO THE FURY.
