Makenna Fraser is having lunch with Rake Danescu. A lunch she didn't tell her partner Ian about. She is humiliated and annoyed to see Ian and Kylie, another co-worker, at a table in the restaurant. During the lunch, a man goes crazy insisting there are supernatural creatures there. Even more unusual is that there is no evidence of an exit by normal means. Worse, when Makenna looks at a wall of the crime scene she sees a portal. Since this isn't a skill she ever possessed before, she is concerned about this new ability.
