Brie Grayson is a beautiful lawyer who had a devastating love affair years ago that has broken her heart. It has taken Brie a while to recover, so she promises to protect her heart and not fall in love again. Now a lawyer at a New York City law firm, she is assigned to convince the highly successful hotel owner, Maddox Monroe, to come on board with their company before his business goes international. So the company arranges the meeting for Brie and her co-worker to play tennis with Maddox.
Unfortunately Maddox is the last man that Brie wants to meet, after making the seventh grade the worst year of Brie's school years. So when Brie loses her temper and accidentally hits Maddox in the face with the tennis ball, she fears not only she didn't succeed in luring him but also she may lose her job too. But Maddox has other plans for her.
Maddox Monroe is a handsome and successful businessman and not interested in the New York City law firm but when he meets Brie, the girl of his boyhood fantasies, he must have her.
MAD ABOUT THE MAN is the third book in The Graysons series. This is a fun contemporary enemies-to-lovers romance with charming and successful characters. The chemistry between Maddox and Brie is hot and steamy and turns into sweet love.
MAD ABOUT THE MAN is the first contemporary romance I've read by Tracy Anne Warren, but I read almost all her historical romance books. I must say she did an excellent job in her contemporary romance too. The story was sexy, fun with nice banter, although it slows down in the middle. Still it was an enjoyable romance.
