STOP AT NOTHING is the first book in the new series Protect & Serve by Kate Serine about two people who have some unresolved issues. One has a strained relationship with his father because of wrong perceptions from when he was younger. And these perceptions have been leading factors in how he has conducted his life and made career decisions. The other person made a decision three years ago that caused them both a huge amount of pain. They will learn valuable lessons about making assumptions. When a high-profile investigation goes wrong, FBI Agent Kyle Dawson is transferred back home where he is forced to deal with past demons and the only woman he ever loved that dumped him. Kyle has some issues that he needs to deal with regarding his father which has influenced how he has handled choices that he has made throughout his career. Deputy Abby Morrow has been independently investigating a case that uncovers evidence of human-trafficking that leads to the kidnapping of her sister. She's desperate for help and inadvertently dials Kyle's phone. When Kyle hears the conversation on the other end of the call he immediately goes to assist Abby. Working together proves that the sexual chemistry is just as strong as it was three years ago. Abby broke Kyle's heart when she broke up with him. When Kyle finally learns the real reason why he has difficulty handling it. Kyle will also learn he has some wrong assumptions regarding his father. Abby realizes she should have handled things differently and she hopes she and Kyle can still work things out. This is the beginning of a great series about the Dawson brothers and their dad. These brothers take cracks at each other but it's apparent that they love each other and they will always protect each other.
