LUCK BE A LADY is the fourth book in the Rules For The Reckless series and can be read as a stand-alone novel. Catherine Everleigh is called the Ice Queen. She is gorgeous, clever, cold and a business woman who is desperate to save her family's auction house from her brother. All she desires is her birthright - the auction house that matters to her. The only way to save her dream is to have a powerful ally. Who better than Nicholas O'Shea, the infamous crime lord. He is powerful and can keep Catherine's brother at bay.
So a marriage of convenience seems her only option and will also benefit Nick who needs to gain Catherine's brother vote in municipal decision to protect Whitechapel, his kind of kingdom.
Can Nick and Catherine keep this convenience marriage business only, or will the charming and handsome devil, Nick, seduce his wife and win her heart?
LUCK BE A LADY is the first book I've read by Meredith Duran and I must say I really enjoy her writing. The main characters are complete opposites: one beautiful, cold and only cares about her business, while the other is a criminal, sweet and cares about his people. But the way the author wrote about what they have been through you couldn't blame the hero and heroine for their personalities. The plot was great and the details keep you entertained not overwhelmed, and their dialogue were witty and charming. I am looking forward to reading more books by Meredith Duran.
