Addie Montgomery only wants to have a normal life, but as a gifted empath who senses history when she touches an object and ghosts haunting her at every turn, normal is difficult to come by. Throw in an ex-fiancรฉ who ran off with her so called best friend, who is now discrediting her in the employment sphere, and things for Addie seem to be getting worse. The only bright spot in her life is the Montgomery women, her dreams of Jack from lifetimes ago, and the hope that somehow love will find her in this lifetime. But when Addie gets the opportunity to work with art in the Albrecht firm, she is excited beyond measure, even though her father and grandfather had both worked here when they vanished years ago. But something sinister is afoot and unknowingly Addie has become the centre of the mystery.
Blake Greenwood has come too far in his plans to take Otto Albrecht down, to retreat now. Knowing how cruel and destructive Otto can be, Blake is determined to unmask him and put him in prison for good. But as soon as Blake sets eyes on Addie, everything changes for him. She is his soulmate in every lifetime and he is amazed that he has found her. With psychic powers of his own, Blake recognises Addie's gift and immediately understands the trouble she is in. With secrets, lies, passion and danger, will Blake and Addie lose each other before their story can even begin?
THE FINE ART OF DECEPTION by Alyssa Richards is a paranormal romance with many twists and turns. I enjoyed the characters of Addie and Blake, and the plot of the tale is unique. Unfortunately, the pace of the novel did not flow naturally for me, and there were parts that seemed disjointed and rushed. THE FINE ART OF DECEPTION by Alyssa Richards is a part of the Undoing Time series.
