Isabelle Chambers is a kindergarten teacher that has hit a really rough patch in life. Two months prior she lost her husband of two years in a motor vehicle crash. When her health was giving her signs of a pregnancy, Isabelle was delivered another blow with a brain tumor diagnosis. Surgery is mandatory, and her doctor is pushing for it soon, however her chance of survival is not good. Needing her girlfriends more than ever, she gathers them all together to deliver the news. Isabelle makes a decision to live a little before she goes under the knife. When she posts her "bucket list" online via Twitter, she gets an offer from a stranger that she can't refuse.

Cole Davies is the lead singer for the rock band the Scandals. Even having fame and fortune, he still feels a bit incomplete. When Isabelle posts her bucket list, he can't resist the pull to help her. Cole is intrigued by Izzy. She is the one and only woman that doesn't seem to be fazed by his fame and fortune, and to him she is a challenge. Cole invites Izzy to come on tour with him and the band, fulfilling one item on her list. When Cole sees Izzy for the first time, his attraction to her intensifies. When Izzy mistakenly reveals the second list and its location, it isn't long before the entire band knows she has some sexual desires she wants to experience.

Izzy's symptoms are getting worse, and Cole knows she is downplaying her diagnosis. It is then that Cole makes it his mission to complete everything on Izzy's list for her and with her. What he didn't count on was falling in love with her.

News of a girlfriend in New York surface, so Izzy returns home earlier than planned instead of facing Cole. While back home with her girlfriends and her mother, Izzy collapses and is rushed into surgery ahead of schedule. When word reaches Cole, he and the band cancel everything indefinitely and rush to her side. Will Cole have a chance to tell Izzy he loves her, or will she never wake up and be part of his life again?

I absolutely loved this story! As a debut, Denis Marie created a great novel with strong characters and the workings to become a great series! Like most romance novels the focus is on the two main characters but Denise Marie also brought in some of the secondary characters as well. She limited the number of intimate scenes which allowed her to concentrate on building their relationship stronger. If TO DO HIM LIST is any indication of what is to come from Denis Marie, I cannot wait to see what the next installment will bring!
