Romance Contemporary

Two years ago, Callie Daniels opened her bakery in Preston, Missouri. A college friend brought her to this small midwest town, and she just loves it. Recently, Callie took the job of the Pantheretts dance coach at Preston High. She brings a lot of dance and pageant experience to the team. Callie is somewhat manipulated by the school principal to participate in a community fundraiser where a celebrity dance-off is the main attraction of the event. She's been asked to teach the school's football coach to dance and be his partner. Callie can only imagine having to deal with a graying, fifties- something, overweight man. What a surprise to find that former NFL player Bennett Clark is young, with an extremely beautiful athletic body. He's easy on the eyes too. But Bennett is very opposed to participating in this event and minces no words telling Callie. She is ok with it though and walks away with some relief that she doesn't have to add "one more thing" to her plate. But when some fringe benefits are attached to an award that Bennett is up for, he changes his mind and comes crawling back to her, very apologetic. Callie accepts his apology, but explicitly lays down her rules for him, something Bennett is not used to. What follows proves way more of a challenge than either of them bargained for. Bennett and Callie are both strong-willed characters, and the flirty banter of their dialog is cute and extremely humorous. WIN ME OVER is a fun, romantic read that explores our motivation for doing the things that we do, whether in our professional lives or our personal lives. Nicole Michaels surrounds Bennett and Callie with a variety of great supporting characters who add a lot of spice to the flavor of the story. The storyline takes several unexpected turns along the way to a great ending. This is the second book in Ms. Michaels' Hearts and Crafts series, but WIN ME OVER stands alone as a great small-town, feel-good romantic read.
