DARE TO ROCK is another great story in the Dare to Love series by Carly Phillips and can be read as a standalone. Ms. Phillips does a wonderful job showing a devastating family betrayal has lasting effects mentally, physically and emotionally. Once again when a family member is threatened, the alpha Dare males make their presence known. This is a really great series because even though this is a financially well off family, they still have to deal with painful family dynamics just like everyone else; but they have to deal with having all their dirty laundry revealed publicly. DARE TO ROCK deals with panic attacks, not feeling loved, abandonment issues and feeling like you're not good enough.
At a very young age, Avery Dare had her life disrupted and thrown into the public eye, which had devastating effects on her life. Because of a deep betrayal her family suffered a great deal of pain and humiliation. Rock star Grey Kingston has returned home after leaving Avery when they were teenagers, hoping to rekindle their relationship by asking Avery to give him another chance. Now, Avery has abandonment issues that are triggering other problems for her. Grey will have to convince Avery that he's worth the risk. He has his own issues from how he grew up that he has to come to terms with.
DARE TO ROCK shows how an introvert and extrovert understand each other and become a rock for each other. The heat between these two is off the chart! DARE TO ROCK, along with the others in the Dare to Love series, provides plenty of heat, gorgeous alpha males, beautiful strong, independent women who all deal with thought-provoking issues. A really great novel. Well done Carly Phillips.
Avery Dare lives a quiet life in Miami as an online
fashion/makeup video blogger.
She has good friends, a close, large family and if her love
life is lacking, she likes
it that way. But when she receives a ticket to one of her
ex's concerts along with
an invitation to meet him back stage, she decides to take
the risk β¦ and comes
face to face with the reality of his rock star lifestyle -
the press, the crowds, and
the half naked groupies.
At eighteen, Grey Kingston left everything he knew and loved
behind to seek
fame and fortune as a rock star, and he found it as the lead
guitarist and singer
for the band, Tangled Royal. Fans adore him, women throw
themselves at him,
and he can afford everything he couldnβt growing up. Yet at
the height of his
career, heβs ready to walk away and return home to a simpler
life β¦ and the
woman he left behind.
Except moving on isnβt as easy as Grey would like. When
Avery is threatened by a
stalker, it becomes evident Greyβs fans not only donβt want
him to retire, they
donβt want Avery in his life either. And Avery isnβt sure
she wants the pressures
that are part of Greyβs life β¦ but she doesnβt want to lose
him again, either. Can
their recently renewed love survive the fallout?
