BOOTS AND THE ROGUE is Book 10 in The Ugly Stick Saloon series by Myla Jackson and can be read as a standalone. The phrase "save a horse, ride a cowboy" is true to form in this series of books. If you're looking for sizzling scenes and some unconventional relationships this series provides it all.
BOOTS AND THE ROGUE is tame compared to some of the other books in this series. I have enjoyed everyone of them. This story is about one of the brothers returning home after being away for eight years because he's lead to believe his mother is very ill and may be dying. The mother has issued an ultimatum to her sons that if not fulfilled will have dire consequences for them. It's hilarious to see the means that she uses to get what she wants. It's down right pitiful to see just how helpless these three brothers are when the mother puts her foot down. This is a story about forgiveness, coming home again and finding happiness.
Brody McFarland left home eight years ago when he had a falling out with his younger brother. He has been summoned home under false circumstances concerning his mother's health. The mother has issued an ultimatum to her three sons and gone on strike from cooking and cleaning. The brothers are in desperate need of a cook and hires Jessie Taylor. Jessie is down on her luck and desperately needs a place to stay, so she agrees to become their cook. The problem is she really can't cook. Brody and Jessie certainly heat things up. The last thing Brody wants is to get involved with anyone after getting hurt years ago. Jessie is all alone and just wants a place to call home.
This is a great series with hot, sexy cowboys, cowboy strippers, steamy sex, cowboy auctions where they all have a great time!
