Romance Historical

Lady Sophia, infamously known as LADY SCANDAL throughout the ton, always knew one day she would be forced to leave the sanctuary of her friends, the Furies, and flee for her safety. What she did not count on was that she would also be running away from her newly attained husband, Lord Randolph, as well as an ancient enemy of her dead father's. Having grown up to despise her father and his ruthless ways, his past has finally caught up with Sophia, and Kasai, an enemy to the realm, wants her. But it is when Sophia discovers that her devilishly handsome new husband is a spy, who trained at the hands of her father, that she truly panics.

Lord Randolph will not fail in his mission to uncover an enemy to the crown, and he will do anything to protect Lady Sophia, even if it means protecting her from himself. But as his feelings grow for his troublesome wife, it is not long before danger catches up to them.

Adept at handling any situation, Sophia makes her escape, and it is not hard for Lady Scandal to disappear into the night, but as danger follows close at her heels, will she manage to stay one step ahead?

LADY SCANDAL by Wendy LaCapra is the second instalment of her fascinating Furies series. Lady Sophia is an engaging character who manages to be both strong and fierce, and sweet and vulnerable. Lord Randolph takes his career seriously and is determined to solve this mystery, but he had never guessed that in trying to protect Sophia, he would find something worth dying for. With political intrigue, plots, friendship and sizzling sexual chemistry bursting from the page, LADY SCANDAL is one of Regency Romances finest. LADY SCANDAL by Wendy LaCapra can easily be read as a standalone novel but I highly recommend reading the series to date, and I eagerly anticipate the next Furies novel.
