As a big Kristen Ashley fan, RIDE STEADY is one of those
books that I was
highly anticipating and after reading it, I can safely say
that this wait is worth
it. Ashley's style has somewhat changed slightly in the
recent years however
I found that this third book in the Chaos series
really brought it back to
basics and reminded me of what I adore about her books.
Starting the book with the hero and heroine at a young
age, Ashley depicts
how they first met and delves deeper into their backstory.
From there, she
fast-forwards a little bit until they are older. Carson is
now twenty-five years
old, is part of the Chaos Motorcycle club and now goes by
the name Joker.
Clarissa now has a baby attached to her hip and is facing
some personal
problems with her ex-husband. Though total opposites in
nature, somehow
Ashley is able to mesh them together to create a beautiful
romance.
True to Ashley's style, she keeps her heroes rough on the
outside but soft
and sweet on the inside. There's just something so
endearing about all the
characters so even though they have their flaws, somehow
you learn to love
them.
To say that I enjoyed RIDE STEADY is a massive
understatement. I laughed, I
teared up, I swooned and I definitely didn't want the book
to end. I feel like
this book should come with a warning: Reader, beware! Once
you pick up
RIDE STEADY, you won't be able to put it down. Kristen
Ashley will undoubtedly
take you on for the ride of your life!
The ride of her life . . .
Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy
endings. Money,
marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she
woke up to the ugly
truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling,
single mom and stranded
by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when
a
vaguely familiar
knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.
Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who
put Carissa on a
pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today,
he's the hard-bodied
biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's
acting, it's clear
she's falling fast. While catching her is
irresistible,
knowing what to do
with her is a different story. A good girl like
Carissa
is the least likely
fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding
back
is so damned hard.
Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside
threat endangers the
club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with
Carissa---or ride away
forever . . .
