Francesca 'Frankie' Masseria belongs to a large family belonging in the restaurant business. Despite her ability to handle customers and expectations that she will enter the family business, Frankie dreams of being the best glamourous PA to the top business executive. She lands her dream job under Coburn Grant but when she is transferred to work with Harrison Grant, it's like fast forwarding her dream by five years. But Harrison is notorious for his ability to go through his PAs before Tessa, who tamed the beast. Worried about being fired, Frankie aims to anticipate her boss's every need to negate their disastrous first meeting. Only problem is that he leaves her flustered with an attraction blooming between them almost impossible to ignore.

The only thing on Harrison's mind is revenge against the man who almost destroyed their business and in process killed his father. Victory is within his grasp therefore he cannot afford any distractions especially from one attractive brunette who not only appeals to him physically but so does her intelligence and compassion. Will he give in to the attraction and give up on the revenge which is eating up his soul and alienating everyone who loves him?

TEMPTED BY HER BILLIONAIRE BOSS is a light summer read. Ms. Hayward has tried to make it heavier thanks to Harrison's obsession with revenge but it does not quite pull the punch. Harrison is more obsessed with family legacy and revenge despite knowing his father was sick before the whole incident happened; something his brother seems to understand better than him. Then there is over emphasis on the stunning looks of Harrison and Frankie. Their love sounds more based on lust and looks rather than their personalities. They do connect on some level but there are times their romance feels forced especially with Frankie's ambitions but at other times it feels they do care about each other. An example would be one of her last thoughts after their HEA was that if the stars aligned, she could be the president's wife. Ummmm... Made me wonder at that point, did she really love him for him or what he may represent despite the moments she jeopardized her career to get through to him.

The first read through of TEMPTED BY HER BILLIONAIRE boss is thoroughly enjoyable even though I did not exactly see what made people become besotted with Frankie apart from her stunning looks on first meeting or trust her. Did she heal the beast? Again Harrison is not exactly a beast but yes she did manage to make him understand that revenge is not always the answer. The will he/will he not run for Presidency had an anti-climactic ending for me. The infamous adversary Harrison wanted revenge on somehow made me more curious about him than anything when he finally made an appearance. Despite constant mention of how unfeeling, unremorseful and creep Markovic was, I might be wrong on my speculations, but I found it to be an exaggeration for some reason. Compared to her Society Wedding series, something felt missing in TEMPTED BY HER BILLIONAIRE BOSS. Still this is fun feel good story for all the fans of Ms. Hayward and I look forward to reading Coburn's story.
